Newhaven Club Juniors make good progress
Three of Newhaven Bowling Club junior players have made big strides in the game so far this summer.
Luke Gray progressed to the Sussex County Under 25's final played at Popes Mead in Crawley. A good consistent player he unfortunately lost to Ajay Morphett of Spartans (Bexhill). Earlier this season he also progressed with Ken Davis to the County Quarter Finals in the pairs competition. He is also still in the running for several club competitions as well.
Bradley Page was recognized for his bowls achievements by his school, Seaford Head. He attended a presentation evening and received a certificate and recognition in the game. Both Luke & Bradley play in Newhaven Club and Meridian League matches. They have also helped Newhaven to 4th in the Brighton & Hove League 3rd division this year. They are also part of the Newhaven team that have made it to the Semi Finals of the Bill Hawkins Cup.
Ross Moutrey has progressed from the Junior ranks and now as a full club member with his father and playing in Newhaven Club matches. The outlook for Ross and his bowls is outstanding and I am sure he will progress much further in 2016.
